Monel 400 Seamless Pipe & Tube Supplier
As a professional nickel alloy supplier, we produce high quality Monel 400 seamless pipe & tube.
Monel 400 is a nickel-copper alloy. It contains about 30% copper and 70% nickel. The combination of these two components gives Monel 400 excellent corrosion resistance. This corrosion resistance offers unique advantages in flowing seawater.
We manufacture Monel 400 pipe & tube strictly according to ASTM B165 standard. In the production process, we will complete the cold rolling, cold drawing, annealing, pickling and straightening of the pipes. We do not omit any steps to save costs. Ultimately, we hydrostatically test every piece of pipe we produce to ensure pipe quality.
Chemical Composition of Monel 400
*Chemical Composition According to ASTM B165
Suppliers should conduct chemical analysis on Monel 400 pipe & tube strictly in accordance with ASTM E76 standard and issue corresponding material certificate.

*Mechanical Properties According to ASTM B165
For different applications, our customers have different requirements for mechanical properties. If you need higher strength in pipes, we stress relieve the material after cold rolling and cold drawing. This process retains some of the work hardening effect of the pipes. We default to delivery in the annealed condition, which has lower strength but better toughness.
FAQ
What are the differences between Monel 400 and pure nickel or pure copper?

Pure nickel and pure copper are single metals, containing no other elements, while Monel 400 is an alloy with nickel and copper as its main components. The performance differences are also significant: pure copper and pure nickel are relatively soft, while Monel 400 achieves higher strength through alloying, and also has advantages in corrosion resistance and high-temperature performance.
What is the difference between Pipe and Tube?

There is no particularly unified definition for Pipe and Tube. In one definition, Pipe refers to materials with a larger outer diameter, while Tube refers to materials with a smaller outer diameter. In another definition, Pipe refers to materials with dimensions specified in the Nominal Pipe Schedule, while Tube refers to directly converting the unit of the pipe. Therefore, you can tell us which one you need when you inquire.
Will the pipe undergo eddy current testing?

First, if you do not have a specific requirement, we will perform non-destructive testing on the material according to standards. In some standards, only one type of non-destructive testing is required. Therefore, we will flexibly decide whether to perform eddy current testing based on the actual dimensions. However, if you have a strict requirement, we will perform eddy current testing according to your request.
What is cold drawing of seamless tubes?

Cold drawing refers to the process of drawing seamless tubes to achieve dimensional changes. During cold drawing, the outer and inner dies work together to reduce the outer diameter and wall thickness of the seamless tube. Cold drawing can also be performed without an inner die, changing only the outer diameter; this process is called non-mandrel drawing. Cold drawing is a cold working process, thus increasing the material's strength.
What is polishing of seamless tubes?

Polishing is a surface treatment process that refers to grinding the surface of a seamless tube to achieve a brighter surface. Polished seamless tubes have a smoother and more aesthetically pleasing surface. If you have high requirements for the seamless tube surface, we can also polish the inner wall of the seamless tube, this type of seamless tube is called sanitary tube and is suitable for food, medical, and other fields.
What is your standard length?

If you do not have specific requirements, our standard length is 1 meter. This length is most convenient for transportation and can significantly save your shipping costs. In addition, commonly used lengths include 3 meters, 6 meters, and 12 meters. Of course, we can customize the length to your exact requirements. If your priority is cost savings, we can also provide you with a random length.
