Can Inconel X-750 be replaced with Inconel 718?

No. Inconel X-750 does not contain molybdenum, and its chromium content is lower than that of 718, so it is less corrosion-resistant than 718. However, it has a higher nickel content and superior high-temperature performance. The two are suitable for different operating conditions and cannot be directly substituted for one another.

Do you polish round bars?

That depends on the bar’s manufacturing process and whether you have any special requirements. If you plan to further process the material, we recommend using unpolished bars, which are more cost-effective. Cold-drawn bars already have a naturally bright surface and do not require polishing. For products without special requirements, we polish them by default.

Can you produce ground bars?

Yes. The bright bars we typically supply are produced through polishing. If you have strict requirements for these specifications - for example, diameter tolerances of h6 or even h7, and straightness not exceeding 0.1 millimeters per meter - we will switch to a grinding process. Ground bars offer precise dimensions and high straightness, but the machining process takes longer, and the unit price will be slightly higher than that of polished bars.

Can you provide chamfering services for the ends of round bars?

Yes. Although chamfering is not included by default for standard products (since most customers perform further machining after receiving the material), we have comprehensive machining capabilities and specialized chamfering equipment to meet your requirements for chamfering both ends of the round bars. You can specify the need for chamfering when requesting a quote or placing an order, and provide the relevant dimensions or standards. We will process the bars accordingly, saving you time and costs in subsequent machining.

What are the standard lengths for round bars? What is the default delivery length?

Our standard round bar lengths include three common specifications: 1 meter, 3 meters, and 6 meters. By default, we deliver 1-meter lengths. If you are more concerned about material costs and do not mind variations in length, we can provide random-length batches, which typically help avoid the extra waste and fees associated with cutting to fixed lengths.
