Inconel 725 is a high strength, high corrosion resistance alloy. It has excellent corrosion resistance, thermal stability and precipitation strengthening properties. It is widely used in aviation, energy, chemical industry, marine engineering and other fields. As a form of Inconel 725, round bar & rod plays an important role in these applications.

The excellent performance of Inconel 725 is attributed to its chemical composition and heat treatment process. The alloy is composed of nickel, chromium, molybdenum, iron, titanium, niobium and other elements. Among them, titanium and niobium are precipitation strengthening elements. What's the difference between Inconel 725 and Inconel 625?

Inconel 725 is a precipitation-strengthened alloy developed from Inconel 625. Its strength is improved by increasing the titanium content, but the chromium and cobalt content is reduced, so its corrosion resistance is slightly inferior to Inconel 625.
What's the difference between a Round Bar and a Rod?

Generally, bars with larger diameters (usually above 30mm) are called Round Bars, while those with smaller diameters are called Rods. The manufacturing processes also differ: Round Bars are mostly hot-rolled or forged, while Rods are mostly cold-drawn or hot-rolled. Furthermore, Rods with diameters less than 10mm are usually machined from wire rod.
Are your round bars made by hot rolling or forging?

We use both processes depending on the specific situation. Generally speaking, hot rolling is more economical and efficient for small-diameter round bars (e.g., 20-80mm in diameter). However, if your technical specifications have strict requirements for grain size (e.g., ASTM grade 5 or finer), forging is essential because only forging can break down the cast structure and refine the grains through sufficient plastic deformation to meet high grain size requirements.
What is the standard delivery length for round bars?

For round bars, we offer standard lengths of 1 meter, 3 meters, and 6 meters. By default, we prioritize 1-meter lengths because this length significantly optimizes packaging and reduces shipping volume, saving you on packaging materials and logistics costs.
What is the straightness requirement for round bars?

All round bars we supply undergo final precision straightening before delivery to ensure straightness meets ASTM standards. If you require stricter straightness, please confirm with us before placing your order. Once technical review is passed, we can produce according to your requirements.
What is forging?

Forging is a form of hot working. The process involves heating and softening the material, then repeatedly hammering it in different directions to gradually shape it into the desired size and form. Forging can improve the microstructure of materials, making them more refined.
