High content of nickel (about 43%), chromium (about 30%) and molybdenum (about 5%) constitutes the basis of Hastelloy G-30 plate, giving it excellent resistance to chloride corrosion, especially in acidic media. In addition, the addition of tungsten (about 2.5%) further enhances the material’s resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, while the balanced ratio of iron (about 15%) optimizes its machinability.
